A lot of people are of the view that wrestling is a fake sport due to the fact that the stories surrounding it are already planned. However, if you closely look at certain facts regarding dead wrestlers, you may realize that this so-called sport is as true as death statistics is concerned.

One of the reasons why more and more wrestlers are joining the death toll is because of the medical condition called concussion, which basically denotes an injury to the spinal cord or the brain as a result of a jarring from a fall or blow.
While most wrestlers may think that their brain is fully protected by their strong skull and that their spinal cord is sheltered by the spinal column, they are not aware that if they are not careful enough, a strong and unpredictably sudden blow could adversely affect their nervous system.
The worse thing about wrestlers having concussion is that they do not even notice that they are already experiencing something when they show up again in the right for their next fight. Many of them simply get the wrong idea about merely experiencing fatigue and not realizing that they are already suffering from a concussion.
So one thing that wrestlers or any other athletes need to learn is about the symptoms of concussion. These usually include dilated pupils, headache, confusion, fainting, slurred speech, nausea, dizziness and temporary loss of memory or depth perception.
The abovementioned mild symptoms may not occur immediately and may only appear after three days or more. If these manifestations are observed, it is best to see a physician so that a more detailed diagnostics is performed.
On the whole, it may be fun to witness a muscular man getting knocked out inside the ring or even seeing one struggling to get up from what seems like a perfectly-enacted ‘chair’ move on the head, but do you still need to witness horrible deaths like the one that could be seen on the Owen Hart death video before you realize that wrestling is not fake anymore?
